Automated creative production system that reduced quarterly asset creation from 2+ weeks to 2 hours, handling headshot replacement, text formatting, and Google Drive delivery for 200+ agents.

Every quarter, the creative team faced the same nightmare: manually updating headshots and names across hundreds of marketing assets for 200+ insurance agents. Each template had to be opened, the headshot replaced, the agent name updated, text resized to fit, files exported in multiple formats, and then uploaded to the correct Google Drive folder. Two weeks of tedious, repetitive work.
I built CreativeFlow Pro to automate the entire process from start to finish. The system combines Adobe ExtendScript for the creative work with Node.js and Google Drive APIs for file delivery.
The workflow starts with scripts for Adobe Illustrator and After Effects that handle headshot replacement and text formatting. One of the trickier parts was dynamic font sizing. Agent names vary in length, so the system automatically adjusts font size to fit the template without breaking the design.
Once the creative assets are rendered, a Node.js script takes over. It parses the filenames to extract agent information, creates the right folder structure (Agent > Year > Quarter), and uploads everything to the correct location in Google Drive. The system even handles variations in agent name formatting to match existing folders.
The result: a 2-week manual process now runs in about 2 hours with zero human intervention. The team processes and delivers thousands of assets each quarter without touching a single file manually. Designers can focus on actual design work instead of repetitive production tasks.
