Built for Adoption Assistance, Inc. in Non-Profit / Adoption Services
Rebuilt a 23-page WordPress site I originally created into a modern Next.js application. The old hosting was painfully slow, so I moved everything to Vercel and cut their costs by $900/year.

I originally built the Adoption Assistance website on WordPress a few years ago. It's a 23-page site for a licensed adoption agency serving Kentucky and Tennessee. The WordPress site worked fine, but their hosting was terrible. Pages loaded slowly, and they were paying $99/month for outdated cPanel hosting that couldn't keep up.
I rebuilt the entire site from scratch using Next.js and React. Same content, completely new foundation. The site now loads fast, and hosting on Vercel is a fraction of the cost.
The site serves two distinct audiences: prospective adoptive parents and expectant mothers considering adoption. Each group has different needs and emotional states, so the navigation adapts based on which path they choose. The header variant changes to show relevant links for their journey.
Forms are handled through JotForm integrations. I consolidated what used to be 3 separate form pages into a single unified forms section with 6 different application types.
Assets are stored on AWS S3 with CloudFront CDN for fast delivery. I also set up the infrastructure for migrating their 11 email accounts off the expensive cPanel hosting to a dedicated email server, which will save them about $75/month.
The training resources section was a key feature the client loved. It provides adoptive parents with educational materials and preparation resources, reducing the number of phone calls the staff has to handle for basic questions.
Built with Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. Deployed on Vercel with Google Analytics integration for tracking inquiries and conversions.
The agency was paying $99/month for outdated cPanel hosting that made the site painfully slow. The 23-page WordPress site I originally built worked fine, but the hosting couldn't keep up. Forms were scattered across 3 separate pages, confusing users.
Rebuilt from WordPress to Next.js with static content for speed and simplicity. Consolidated forms into a single section with JotForm integration. Created dual-audience navigation that adapts based on user journey. Moved assets to AWS S3 with CloudFront CDN and set up email migration to cut hosting costs.
Increased inquiries by 40%. Reduced phone call volume with comprehensive online resources. Cut hosting costs from $99/month to ~$24/month (saving $900/year). Faster page loads with static content and CDN delivery.

★★★★★“Partnering with Andy was way better than I ever expected. We love the entire thing, especially the warmth, organization, simplicity and training page with resources. It is so inviting and should win an award!”
