Built for The Real Mr. Tea in Food & Beverage / E-commerce
Full e-commerce platform for a loose-leaf tea business with Payload CMS admin, Stripe payments, and automatic product sync. Owner manages everything without developer help.

The Real Mr. Tea is a Louisville-based loose-leaf tea company that needed more than just a website. They needed a complete online store where they could sell tea, manage products, track orders, and promote events.
I built them a full e-commerce platform using Payload CMS for the backend and Stripe for payments. The magic is in how it all connects. When the owner Ryan adds a new tea in the admin panel, it automatically creates the product in Stripe with all the right prices. No copying IDs, no manual setup. Just add the tea and start selling.
The admin dashboard lets Ryan manage everything. He can add new teas with multiple sizes and pricing tiers. The system auto-generates variants based on templates, so adding a new tea takes seconds. Each tea syncs to Stripe automatically, creating the product and price records behind the scenes.
Orders flow in from Stripe and show up in the admin panel with all the details. Ryan can see what was ordered, the shipping address, and order status. When he ships an order, he enters the tracking number and hits a button to send the customer an email with tracking info.
The events section lets Ryan add upcoming appearances and festivals. Customers can browse the shop, add items to their cart, and check out with Stripe. The whole thing runs on Vercel with a PostgreSQL database.
This is the kind of project I love building. It looks great on the front end, but the real value is in the admin panel and automation. Ryan runs his entire tea business from one dashboard without ever needing to call a developer.
